Tuberculosis (TB) is a re-emerging disease and an important cause of mortality. It manifests in two forms: pulmonary, which affects only the lungs, extrapulmonary, defined as bacteriologically confirmed or clinically diagnosed infection by Mycobacterium tuberculosis that involves organs other than being pleural one most common. Extrapulmonary usually result hematogenous dissemination pulmonary and, therefore, indicates long-standing disease. The diagnosis these forms presentation represents challenge due to varied clinical manifestations, requires high index suspicion, early identification essential establish adequate treatment patients, since this greater morbidity form.
